Are you involved in a mid-week Bible Study?

If you answered "Yes". Good for you! We always know that we are doing what we are supposed to be doing if we are in the Word of God outside of the worship Service.

It is my thought that every church member needs to be involved in the worship service, a small group Bible Study, and some sort of service within the church. Just doing two out of these three things does not make a church healthy.

If you answered "No" to the question about being involved in a mid-week Bible Study, I am not going to ask "Why?" I am simply going to tell you that you need to be.

There is no reason that I can think of that would excuse a Christian from Bible Study with brothers and sisters in Christ. So starting the first week of August we are going to start a new round of mid-week Bible Study that I will be leading.

You can either start planning to attend or start thinking of excuses to miss the mid-week Bible Study at Clay City Church.

Summer is a great time for vacations, get-aways, and relaxing weekends. But the work at Clay City Church still goes on in the heat of the summer. God doesn't take vacations, so your gifts to Clay City Church are still needed and appreciated for the ministry to continue.

Summer Community BBQ  8/28/10  (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
Summer Community BBQ

On Saturday Night, August, 28 2010 Clay City Church will be hosting the last BBQ of the season. The BBQ will take place on the lawn behind the Women's Club.

We will start at 6:00 PM and end about 8:00 PM. We are asking all the members of Clay City Church to bring something for the BBQ like a salad, a dessert, or chips. Clay City Church will be providing the hamburgers, hot dogs and buns.

Our Youth Group has planned some special event for the adults and the children of the neighborhood. This is a free BBQ and we hope you will invite a neighbor, a friend or family member.

Sunday Night "Sing-spiration"  8/29/10  (6:00 PM - 7:00 PM)
Sunday Night "Sing-spiration"

The First Baptist Church of Lincoln has graciously invited us to a Sunday evening of singing, worship and Ice Cream.

This Sunday evening, August 29, 2010 will begin at 6:00 PM and we will sing the good ol' hymns. There will be special guest that evening who practice worship music in a wonderful "Bluegrass" style. We are also invited to stay for an Ice Cream social and time of fellowship.
