You don't have too look far in the New Testament to find the word "prison" or "prisoner". We hear Jesus talking about setting free the captives, and visiting those who are in prison.
There is a ministry for those in prison.
I have the names and addresses of two men who are in state prison. If you feel led to write and give a ray of hope, and a smile to those in prison please contact our office.
A Community Service
"The Loft" is a non-profit organization that is involved in meeting the needs in and around the city of Lincoln. They work very hard to help other people.
They are looking for volunteers who would be interested in donating a few hours a week to work at their store, which is located in the Twelve Bridges Shopping Center.
They are looking for volunteers for the busiest days, Monday and Thursday, which are the drop-off days. These volunteers will be of a great help in the back room organizing, separating, and pricing the donated items. Another busy day is Saturday and anyone who can give even two hours would be a great help.
If you would be interested in donating a few hours a week you are invited stop by and introduce yourself to Laura and let her know you would like to help. At the very least we can stop by and see what they do, see if, "What we like to do is what we can do."
