Jody Shorkey (Pastor)
While growing up in California, Jody was active in the Youth Group at the West Anaheim Baptist Church and was involved with discipleship, evangelism, and student leadership. After walking in the shadow of the world during his 20's and 30's, he moved to Placer County in Northern California. There he discovered that God had not moved...he had. The Bible became real to him as he discovered James 4:8. "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." To Jody, that scripture means, if you walk towards God, He will walk towards you, if open your arms to God, He will open His arms to you and if you embrace God, He will embrace you. It didn't matter where Jody had been, or what he had done; God was faithful to His Word. In May of 1999, Pastor Jody was licensed to preach the Gospel from the First Baptist Church of Lincoln. In February of 2002, the Northside Baptist Church of Yuba City ordained Pastor Jody. The love of Pastor Jody's life is his wife of 26 years, Tricia. The pride of his life is his three children.

Audrey Potts (Youth Minister)
Someone once told me "It is not how you start out. It is how you finish". My name is Audrey Potts. I am 22 years old and am a child of God. I was saved when I was 7, but rededicated my life at Centrifuge at the age of 13. I was born in Florida but was raised in Lincoln. I have travelled to a few different countries to live in, and have had the opportunity to share God's love in them. I currently attend CSU-Sacramento as a history major with a minor in communication studies. I plan to be a high school teacher. I felt called to be a youth pastor, although, when the call first came, I definitely did not think this is where I was supposed to end up. God has blessed me with His love, His mercy and His grace. Although I said that I did not know that I was called to be a youth pastor at the beginning, I know now that God has me in this ministry for a reason. The Foundation has been a great blessing to me and I know that this is where God wants me to be. Going back to the quote: When I started my relationship with God, I did not know where I would end up. I know God has a plan for me (Jer. 29:11-14) and I know that being a youth pastor for The Foundation is in His plans.
